About Mango Vans
Our Story
Inspired by his years in Central America guiding hikers through the mountains in chicken buses, Mat built his first camper van for a kitesurfing trip from Cape Cod to Key West and back. After the trip, he put the van up for sale and got a huge response. He decided to build one more, then another, then it became a business that kept growing!
Mat grew up in Rhode Island working with his family’s construction business. His past experiences include years in the marine industry, outdoor adventure guide, running environmental non-profits, and renewable energy consulting. His goal for Mango Vans is offering a unique product for fellow explorers who appreciate minimalist designs blending natural materials with the latest advancements in off-grid power systems. Out of the shop, he’s playing around on electric skateboards and old clunker bicycles.

Meet Our Team

Lars
Lars hails from New England where he grew up surfing and playing hockey. He is an accomplished carpenter and all around great guy to be around. When not building beautiful things, he’s around the world chasing waves and flying planes.

Adrian
El Maestro Argentino, Adrian is the always smiling and energetic master of all trades who runs our shop. He is an expert mechanic specializing in Porches, Unimogs, and amphibious vehicles. When not in the shop, he’s out on his boat with his wife and daughters.

Jason
As the project manager at Mango Vans, Jason enjoys creating a seamless client experience. From the first meeting to the final walkthrough, he is passionate about tailoring each project to best suit the individualized needs of every client.

Rosie
Rosie is a lovable maniac pup rescued from a shelter who is always Smiling. Her philosophy is “every stranger is a friend you haven’t met, yet”. When not sniffing around for treats, she’s chasing tennis balls and being a very good girl.
